Lay of the Land

Novaispania is part of the Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach (PBSB) resort complex…a very big complex.  It is located on the Pacific side of the peninsula.  It is isolated from the mayhem which can be Los Cabos.  Think Spring Break 101.  We prefer the isolation and frankly, seldom leave.  See the map below for a lay of the land:

Noviaspania is located about a ¼ mile walk from the beach.  THIS IS NOT A SWIMMING BEACH.  In Los Cabos the surf is much too rough on the Pacific side for swimming or even dipping your toes in the water.  The shoreline is beautiful, and the waves can be spectacular.  Great for walks on the beach, but at a safe distance from the surf.

Resort Pools

We have access to two other resorts – Pacifica and Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach.  Each are about 1 mile from Noviaspania.  Shuttles are available from our home to both.  We typically tip the shuttle driver a dollar or two for each ride.

Pacifica

This is an 18 and older resort.  It has a beautiful pool and a good pool recreation program (pool volleyball, aqua aerobics, etc.).  This is also where Jeanne and I plan to play pickleball each morning.  I hope you all have been practicing.  Shuttle or an easy mile walk.  If you cut across the desert and walk the beach it’s a ½ mile slog in the sand.

Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach

This is the resort where we have a timeshare. There are seven pools at the resort. I have featured three of the best below. You can walk to the resort but it’s a bit up and down.
